Posted on 8/9/2009 at 11:41am Dark. Cold. Shadow engulfs all. Who knows what time it was? In a world consumed by the blight of heartless machines, nobody could know anything for sure... Not even the time of the day, or the weekday. Aboard the Nebuchadnezzar, there were schedules of course. People woke up together, ate together, slept together. It was a well-oiled machine, with all its cogs running in perfect sync... But one of these cogs was a bit more toothy than others. "Hey Dozer! This coffee is cold..! Can a woman get some nice warm coffee anywhere on this ship!?" "Um... Cathy? That's headjack lubricant." "Ack!!!" Cathy was the newest arrival on the Nebuchadnezzar. While all the other members were tough, skinny, rugged, or worse-for-wear, Cathy just looked like a run of the mill plump office lady... Maybe she was never inserted into one of the Machine pods? Maybe she used to work in some sort of Machine office... Nobody really knew, and it didn't matter anymore at this point. When everyone was done with breakfast (which was protein porridge shaped into little donuts... yum! Cathy's favorite!) they all headed to their standard workstations. Cathy mostly helped around the ship... There's not much paperwork to process on a bunker ship! Soon, it was time to jack in to the Matrix. Cathy sat in her favourite chair and Trinity slid her headjack in... And there she was. In the changing room of a familiar looking clothing shop. She looked down... What was she wearing!? No way... This dress is... It's... "Ack!!! It doesn't fit me at all!!!" "Hey now, Cathy", said Trinity, "I think it looks great on you! But how about you wear something a bit more... Cool?" 
Trinity held up a clothes hanger with a sleek looking leather jacket, smirking and pointing at it, while moving her eyebrows up and down. You know. And Cathy knew as well. Because when they left the store... They met exactly who she knew she'd be meeting soon. Agent Irving. Let me know if I should continue this story, fellow coin-flippers!
