Have you ever felt that feeling of amazement, wonder and "ah", looking over athte horizon, seeing the infinite sky stretch before you? Standing on the edge of a cliff, you may just fall... but the whole world is below you. Yeah, that's pretty much what Nintendo created on the SNES with Mode 7. So I'm not really sure how they accomplashed it with math crap, that's all below me. But basically it stretches a map sprite real big and places it underneath our favorite SNES characters... Like for example... you guessed it.... FIREBAND!!!

From the confines of a small and flat 2D world like the one in Pong or Snake... The endless expense of the world is now in your hand thanks to the power of the geniuses at Nintendo. Did you ever think you'd see an awesome 3D world on the SNES? Cool eh?
