When I was a kid, I was terrible at Kid Icarus, but a friend of mine gave me a password that put me far enough into the game to meet the Eggplant Wizards, and... Oh boy. I was terrified not of the Wizards themselves, but of the transformed eggplant Pit. I know it sounds strange, but it just seemed to me as though he was trapped in that eggplant, unable to see or breathe. Of course, now I know he was probably turned into an eggplant, and they didn't just stick a big eggplant on his head. We see things differently when we're kids, I guess. I mean, to be fair to Li'l Mark, Pit's legs are clearly sticking out of the bottom of the eggplant, rather than the purple veggie just floating or sliding around, so I don't think it's TOO farfetched a conclusion to draw. Anywho, I was so afraid of the eggplant-ified Pit that I spontaneously developed an eggplant allergy. I swear on the Triforce! My parents promise that I didn't have it before then. Funny, ain't it?
